A practical reason to keep moving forward.
I’m Jeff, the person behind SightForward.
I’ve lived with visual challenges throughout my life. That has shaped how I use technology and how I think about solving problems. I’m always looking for tools, techniques, or small adjustments that make everyday things easier.
A common thread
My work has taken me through several industries, including hardware, firearms, and restaurants. Across those different jobs, one part has always mattered to me: helping customers and coworkers find a solution to the challenge in front of them.
That same instinct is behind SightForward.
Sometimes I find an existing feature that does what I need. Sometimes I adapt the way I work. And sometimes I start building an app because I can see an approach I want to try.
Where SightForward began
Lupek came from using separate tools for magnification and AI image questions. I wanted to bring them together, so I could take a closer look and ask about what I was seeing in one place.
Building Lupek helped me see a broader purpose: creating useful tools and sharing the things I learn along the way.
GlyphMatch grew from another familiar frustration—games that make it hard to play when small text or color differences get in the way. Guides and Notes give me another way to share practical help.
Why the name?
“Sight” reflects the visual challenges that helped inspire this work.
“Forward” is the approach I want to carry into it: look for solutions, adapt when you need to, and keep moving.
Low vision is where SightForward began. The idea applies to anyone trying to make technology more useful in everyday life.
What you can expect
I’ll explain what works for me, why it helps, and where it falls short. My experience may give you a starting point, but your needs may be different.
SightForward includes Notes, apps, and paid resources. Paid guides bring information together to save time and effort. The free material should be useful on its own.
My opinions are independent. SightForward does not publish sponsored opinions or sponsored content, and it does not use affiliate links at launch.
The aim is straightforward: make something useful, explain it clearly, and help someone find their next step.
