SightForward Website Privacy Policy

SightForward is Jeff Wooldridge's independent project. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse getsightforward.com, contact SightForward, or buy a digital guide. For privacy questions, email jeff@getsightforward.com.

Browsing and cookies

Squarespace hosts this website. When you visit, technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring links, and visit times may be processed to deliver the site, maintain security, and understand its use.

SightForward uses Squarespace Analytics to understand traffic, useful content, and store activity. Analytics may include visitor and session information, rather than only anonymous page totals.

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Some support essential functions such as security, shopping carts, and checkout. Others support analytics. Non-essential analytics cookies are used only with your permission. Use the site's cookie controls to make or change your choice. You can also manage cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may affect checkout or other features. Declining analytics cookies does not stop technical processing needed to operate and protect the site.

SightForward does not sell personal information to advertisers. At launch, the website does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising pixels, affiliate tracking, or third-party behavioral advertising trackers or marketing analytics. Squarespace's native website analytics are separate from advertising tracking.

If Google Search Console is connected, it is used to manage indexing and review search visibility, such as search impressions and clicks. It is not used by SightForward for behavioral advertising.

Contact forms and email

When you use a Squarespace contact form, SightForward receives the information you enter, such as your name, email address, and message. It is used to respond and handle related support. Squarespace processes form submissions; messages may also be delivered to SightForward's email inbox. Direct email correspondence is handled through iCloud Mail.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary medical or other sensitive information. Contacting SightForward does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Email updates

SightForward does not offer newsletter signup or send marketing email campaigns at launch. Purchase confirmations, download information, and replies to support requests may still be sent as needed.

Purchases and payments

For a purchase, Squarespace processes information such as your name, email, billing details, purchased items, payment status, and order history. SightForward uses order information to deliver files, provide support, handle refunds or disputes, and maintain necessary business and tax records. The store uses USD.

Online payments are not currently enabled. Squarespace Payments is the planned payment provider. Its payment and fraud-prevention providers process payment and related technical information. Squarespace identifies Stripe for payment processing and Sift for fraud detection. Their practices are described in the Squarespace Privacy Policy, Stripe Privacy Policy, and Sift Service Privacy Notice.

SightForward uses order and transaction records to manage purchases; full payment-card details should be entered only through checkout, never through a contact form or email.

Service providers and information use

Squarespace provides hosting, commerce, forms, and analytics tools. Information needed for those functions is processed through its services. Squarespace also describes processing for its own purposes, including service security, in its privacy policy. Email and payment providers have their own responsibilities and policies.

Information may be processed in countries other than your own. See Squarespace's privacy information for its international processing and safeguards. SightForward may also disclose information when necessary to meet legal obligations or address fraud, disputes, or security problems.

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, information is used to fulfill purchases and related requests, meet legal obligations, operate and secure the business where legitimate interests permit, or with consent for non-essential analytics cookies.

Keeping information

SightForward keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, including support, order records, legal or tax obligations, and disputes. Information no longer needed is deleted or anonymized where practical and permitted. The existing commitment to retain resolved support correspondence for no more than 12 months, unless a dispute or legal obligation requires longer, continues to apply to correspondence covered by that commitment. For new information collected under this policy, the reasonable-need approach above applies. Service providers may retain backups or records under their own obligations and policies.

Your choices and rights

You can choose whether to contact SightForward. Information needed to complete a purchase must be provided to place the order.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain uses, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. Email jeff@getsightforward.com to make a request. SightForward may need to verify your identity and may retain records required by law. Withdrawing consent does not change earlier lawful processing.

This website policy does not cover information processed inside Lupek or GlyphMatch. Read the separate Lupek Privacy Policy and GlyphMatch Privacy Policy.

Other destinations, including the App Store and social networks, have their own privacy practices when you visit them.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated when the website or its services change. The published policy will show its latest revision date.
